Advanced Strength Training for Paddlers.

Front squat alternatives

The front squat is such a great exercise for a number of reasons and I prefer it to the back squat for paddle athletes for a couple of reasons that I talk about in the video below.

However, the first thing that I always hear from athletes doing front squats for the first time is that it hurts their wrists or their shoulders are not flexible enough to get into the classic front rack position.

If this is you don't stress because in this video I share 4 variations of the barbell front squat that will still allow the benefits without the discomforts.

Try them out and let me know how you get on.
